Brenda is the Operations Manager, with overall responsibility for implementation and management of SOWC. Her background is in biology, with an undergraduate degree from University of Guelph and a Master’s degree from Queen’s University. She has a decade of experience in the water policy and research community in Canada, developing networks and collaborative projects. Her work with a private foundation, non-profit organizations and as a political advisor to two provincial Ministers of the Environment gives Brenda a strong knowledge of current water activities and priorities in Ontario.
Evelyn Allen

Evelyn acts as the primary interface between the SOWC and its industry partners, ensuring active liaison, outreach, support and user engagement. As Industry Liaison, Evelyn also plays a key role in establishing and implementing a business plan for the Consortium that is fully supported by industry. Evelyn has a bachelor’s in Engineering from McMaster University, a Master’s in Engineering from the University of Guelph and is registered as a Professional Engineer. Her professional experience includes work in the engineering consulting and clean tech sectors as well as a more recent role at the interface between university researchers, policy staff and industry.

Anna manages the daily activities of SOWC and is responsible for project reporting and financial administration. Anna has an academic background in the social sciences and more than ten years of professional experience in research administration. Prior to joining the SOWC, Anna worked as Research Officer at the University of Western Ontario and Research Funding Officer at the University of Windsor.

Walter Stewart has more than thirty-five years of success as a teacher, administrator, facilitator, coach, and leader in the private sector, the not-for-profit sector, and in education. As a consultant to the Toronto Region Research Alliance, he played an instrumental role in the development of SOWC. He now acts in a consulting capacity to advise SOWC on implementation.
